The link above is of an anti drinking campaign made over fifty years ago. It is interesting how the advert is aimed at women but about men. Essentially, it is warning women to stop their ‘man’ driving them home if they have drunken too much.
Again, this poster from the same era addresses the same issues, completely disregarding that women may drive too.
In comparison, the image above is a contemporary anti-drinking campaign. The approach is more aggressive as it depicts a noose in the shape of a wine bottle, clearly making a distinction and parallel between death and alcoholism.
Through this specific research, I intend on creating a poster using the style of the old poster but reworking it using contemporary attitudes towards alcohol and the problems that surround it.
